About Us
We—Jon & Erica—live and teach yoga and slacklining in central West Virginia. We're happy to have you join us here in our virtual space and in person, and we're willing and eager to travel when the opportunities arise.
Learning to Go with the Flow
When we first met at a rock climbing gym in 2016, we discovered a lot of shared interests and bonded over a mutual “try-hard” attitude, “fast-pace, do-all-the-things” drive, and sarcastic sense of humor. Around the time we met, both of us had individually started incorporating a yoga practice into our lives. Together, our interest in yoga, slacklining and other movement-based activities drove us to pursue trainings and certifications. Throughout our studies, we gained more knowledge of the physical practice and also found something that we didn’t know we were looking for. Both busy-minded people, we benefited from learning to be more present in the current moment rather than constantly thinking of what’s next, to quiet the distractions in our minds, and to flow through life’s adventures a little more freely.
We aren’t professional influencers. We’ve never been gymnasts or dancers. We didn’t start out being especially flexible, strong, or adventurous, and we haven’t been doing these activities all our lives. That’s how we know that the benefits we’ve found are available to anyone, regardless of age, background, or current physical condition.
Flow is the culmination of learning a lot of things and being the type of people that HAVE TO share when we've found something good, whether it's a new favorite snack or a profound realization on life. We created Flow to share tools you can use in your own journey. Yoga, Slacklining, and Adventuring continue to contribute to our quality of life, our physical health, and our general pursuit of joy. We hope connecting with you through Flow enriches your life in these ways and more.
Meet Our Instructors
Real-life, non-influencer instructors who've personally experienced the positive effects of a yoga and slackline practice. Trained and ready to share.
Jon Osborne
Yoga & Slackline Instructor
Jon is a RYT-500 certified yoga teacher and a certified YogaSlacker. Originally from Middletown, OH, Jon now resides in Gassaway, WV. Jon began doing yoga as a way to stretch and recover from his other hobbies. As it turned into a daily practice, he began to recognize the benefits he felt from yoga both on and off of the mat.
Jon began slacklining with friends and immediately fell in love with the challenge of it. As he slacklined more, he found the similarities between slacklining, yoga, and other adventure activities he loved. They all demanded attention on the present moment. Jon has always loved sharing his passions with others, so becoming a yoga teacher and then slackline-yoga teacher was a natural fit.
Outside of yoga and slacklining, Jon is a practicing attorney and enjoys any activity that gets him outside and having fun.
Erica Osborne
Yoga & Slackline Instructor
Erica is a RYT-500 certified yoga teacher and a certified YogaSlacker. She lives in her hometown of Gassaway, WV. She’s proof you don’t have to be flexible to start doing yoga. Despite being active throughout her life, flexibility did not come naturally. It wasn’t until starting to do yoga semi-regularly at age 30 that she was able to reach her toes. In June 2017, Erica was in a skydiving accident that broke her pelvis in six places and fractured her L5. Daily yoga became an important part of her recovery. After personally experiencing the healing power of yoga, she decided to become a yoga teacher to share the gift of yoga with others.
As her obsession with slacklining grew so did her desire to get others involved. Training with the YogaSlackers in Thailand in 2019 provided her with the tools to share this passion.
Outside of yoga and slacklining, Erica enjoys highlining, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and finding new hobbies.
