Setting up your Slackline

Get to know your gear and how to use it.  With a primitive-style slackline kit, you can set up for a day of slacklining using a couple of trees.  No trees, no problem:  We have a solution for that too.

The Gear

webbing

a flat 1-inch wide nylon or polyester line

tree pro

protective barrier that goes around a tree under the slackline to protect both the tree and gear from abrasion

anchor sling

a short piece of heavy-duty webbing serving as the anchor points at each end of the slackline

carabiners

a type of metal shackle with a spring loaded gate

line locker

metal ring used to make an attachment point on the webbing
